Troubleshooting Guide

Quick-Start Guide

  1. Read the Installation Guide that was included with your AIRSIS Monitor. If you have misplaced your Installation guide, you can download it here.
  2. Charge your AIRSIS Monitor for at least 6 hours before deploying it.
  3. Make sure that you are deploying the right AIRSIS monitor for your instrument. For example, EBAM monitors require AIRSIS Monitor model AQEB-2000, while ESAM monitors require model AQES-2000.
  4. Verify operation of your unit before deploying it to a remote location. We strongly recommend testing your AIRSIS Monitor and instruments locally where you can confirm operation and have access to AIRSIS support if you have difficulty. Once you have setup your equipment, click here to confirm that your unit is properly displayed on the Interagency Smoke Monitoring web site.
  5. Your AIRSIS Monitor uses satellite communications to transmit environmental data to the web. For reliable communications, it is important that the antenna is properly connected and has a clear view of the sky. The AIRSIS Monitor will typically communicate even if there is some foliage overhead. However, metal roofs and other man-made structures will typically result in unreliable communications.
  6. If you have any questions or require technical support, contact AIRSIS at 858-586-0933 between 8:30am and 5:00pm Pacific time, or send e-mail to support@airsis.com
